The Alamosa Citizen has released 150 Faces of the San Luis Valley, a portrait series marking 150 years of Colorado statehood. Between April 2025 and April 2026, the newsroom photographed and interviewed 150 residents across the Valley, ranging in age from six to 101, including longtime Great Sand Dunes National Park ranger Fred Bunch, former U.S. Congressman John Salazar, and Saguache Crescent publisher Dean Coombs.

Trinchera Blanca Foundation, an affiliate of The Moore Charitable Foundation, was among the funders of the project, alongside the Robert Hoag Rawlings Foundation and The Outcalt Foundation. The series was published in three installments of 50 faces each.
