Shark Fin Sales Elimination Act Becomes Law

Thanks to bipartisan support in both chambers of Congress, and advocacy from groups like Oceana, the Shark Conservation Fund and Oceans 5, the Shark Fin Sales Elimination Act has been signed into law as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This legislative victory was an incredible way to wrap up 2022, adding to the recent shark conservation success at the 2022 Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) 19th Conference of Parties (CoP19).
