The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) announced a record-breaking $33.5 million in conservation grants from The Longleaf Landscape Stewardship Fund (LLSF). This historic investment, the largest grant in program history, will be channeled toward restoring and protecting longleaf pine forests across eight southern states. With support from the Orton Foundation, The Moore Charitable Foundation’s North Carolina affiliate, the LLSF will spearhead new initiatives aimed at preserving over 500,000 acres of longleaf pine habitats, enhancing the resilience and vitality of this biodiverse ecosystem.
