Friends of the Environment (FRIENDS) has opened the Exploratorium, a new learning center at its campus in Marsh Harbour, Abaco. Launched on Earth Day, the space combines storytelling, science, and hands-on exhibits exploring Bahamian ecosystems, from coral reefs and seagrass beds to mangroves, pine forests, and limestone caves. The Moore Bahamas Foundation, an affiliate of The Moore Charitable Foundation, was among the funders, foundations, and donors supporting the project. The Exploratorium features a central mangrove sculpture, immersive murals, and interactive technology, including virtual reality experiences of marine environments. The center is open to students, visitors, and the wider Abaco community from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
