There are over 109 million acres of private forest land across the West. These lands face daunting challenges, from water shortages to declining wildlife populations, land fragmentation and ailing rural economies. Now more than ever, there is an urgent need to make changes land use and land management policy in order to secure a positive and sustainable future. With support from The Trinchera Blanca Foundation, the Educational Outreach Program will be able to broaden its reach and improve forest health and management initiatives across the western United States.
