The Orton Foundation, the North Carolina affiliate of The Moore Charitable Foundation, has awarded a $25,000 grant to the Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation. The funds will purchase a new Stryker Prime Zoom Electric Stretcher for Dosher’s Emergency Department, which treats more than 12,000 patients each year and has earned two national awards for patient satisfaction. Over the years, the Orton Foundation has donated more than $340,000 to Dosher.
“A healthy community depends on having excellent care close to home. Dosher Memorial Hospital has been providing exactly that for Brunswick County residents for generations. We are honored to continue our partnership with Dosher and to support its Emergency Department’s outstanding work,” said Louis Bacon, founder and chairman of The Moore Charitable Foundation and its affiliate The Orton Foundation.
